i sketched 2 things that ended up looking like a chick with 2 heads and then thought “well, i’ve never {purposely} drawn a chick with multiple heads”

today is a day for….

-sketching and hopefully finding the motivation to finish an illustration project for class. but i don’t want to
-playing around with the settings on my old camera, figuring out how to take really good pictures. (my dad actually taught me a while ago that my camera isn’t shitty despite seeming outmoded, i just have to learn how to really use it. i miss my dad, i haven’t hung out with him in a while. :c)

2-3 weeks old. i love blue lead, besides that it’s incredibly hard to erase and i keep breaking the tip every five seconds.

when i come up with better drawing ideas, i’ll draw them… :(

yesterday was a day for superheroines. (today was a day to finish coloring Rogue.)

in the relatively small amount of x-comics i’ve read, Frosty the snarky HBIC was always one of my favorite characters and i was… disappointed, to say the least, in the writers’ treatment + January Jones’ performance of Emma in XMFC. Rogue in the original trilogy could’ve been better, too, but it’s hard to hate Anna Paquin. ;w;

i was channeling Mark Brooks with her pose and then i realized i really hated her X-Men Legacy costume because seriously why do you need so many X’s on that thing the green cloaky one is better ‘cause it reminds me of Santa Claus

i wanted to draw more (Storm or Psylocke!) but then i ran out of drawing steam :c

also the outfit looked a lot better in my head. i think i should’ve drawn different shoes but drawing feet was not working out for me today; you should feel the worn out spot on the paper where i kept erasing and redrawing etc. but for once the scanned version of those pants look better than they do in real life. maybe it’s the point of “deco” orange idk.

i like making quick marker doodles now, just for the sake of coloring more often and learning not to be really scared and perfectionist about coloring + inking. i should start practicing shading too though

oh and i may have stolen the pants from this dress-up game. or there’s a term for them and i don’t know it. i thought they were parachute pants but i googled that and it doesn’t seem to match. hmm.

my friend brought in cool markers today, so i doodled the mechanic guy with the false arm and the bad haircut just for the sake of colouring and then i sketched the rest of them all day. so you have a mechanic, an alien-esque lady, and ….dragon boy, i guess. i still have that idea stamped into my head, “dragons make everything more interesting!!”
